A daywander is a daylong solo nature experience held by community. It is a wilderness meditation. It is a place of slowing down, of being with nature and being with yourself.
More concretely, a daywander is a solo experience in which you spend time alone in the wilderness from sunrise to sunset. That solo experience is bookended by time spent in the community of fellow participants and with the holding help of your guides. In this way, the lessons that you learn on the land can be witnessed by community, and brought forth into your everyday life.
A daywander is a fast. You will be fasting from modern civilization, from rooms and walls and couches, from modern technology, from fellow humans, and perhaps from food. You will be stripping away all these potential distractions in order to arrive at the heart of yourself. To slow down and tap into the embodied knowing that lives deep in your bones.
THE SPRING EQUINOX
This program aligns with the equinox, on March 19th, which marks the beginning of spring. Spring is a time of awakening, of fresh sprouts poking out of the earth, of new animals coming into the world, of shaking off the heaviness of wintertime and embracing the growing lightness.
The winter can be considered a time of reflection and contemplation— the spring a time of growth and action. This transition in seasons is a wonderful time to find clarity in yourself.

suggested donation
Why do we charge for these offerings?
We offer this container as a service to our community, our own souls, and our earth home.
Your donation for this ceremony ensures that your guides can dedicate the necessary resources of time, travel, and experience to the planning and fulfillment of this offering. Your donation also supports our ability to extend a sliding scale and/or scholarship to people who are marginalized, or otherwise under resourced. To honor the vast difference of financial resources among us, all of our program tuition is based on a sliding scale.
The suggested donation for this three day program is from $250 to $450.
If you are curious where you might fall on this scale, these guidelines from our friends at School of Lost Borders could offer some guidance.
If this range is not affordable for you, please reach out. We strive to make our programs accessible, especially for members of underserved communities. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
For more information about donations please see the general Daywander page.
DEPOSIT
We require a $100 deposit upon your accepted enrollment in the program. This ensures that those who sign up are fully committed to the journey— which is both helpful for your guides in resourcing our time, and helpful for you in that it encourages thoughtful consideration before stepping into this work.
